Guidelines for the use of Impact Indicators for Investments in Natural Forests and Plantations SIAMT 2.0

Abstract

Impact Investing is increasingly growing as a form of responsible investment that aims at addressing current development challenges faced across sectors in emerging and developed markets. To support this aim, impact measurement frameworks and set of metrics for the investment sector are needed to monitor measure and assess the potential impacts of a financial product or investment strategy in the recipients and their community. In such a context, the Finance Alliance for Sustainable Trade (FAST) presents in two guidelines an impact measurement framework and set of indicators to measure the impact of investments in Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) who are engaged in sustainable forestry operations, in both natural forests and plantations.
