|Race to the Top_Productivity and Engagement||Viet Nam||Nov 2016 - Nov 2016||Race to the Top in Vietnam is the first pre-competitive, locally owned multi-stakeholder initiative, that was co-created to reshape the Vietnamese apparel and footwear sector by promoting and enabling embedded sustainable manufacturing practices. Race to the Top is a collaborative effort between the Vietnamese government, the Vietnamese apparel and footwear industry, global consumer brands, international organizations, and civil society organizations. Race to the Top, which was launched in 2015, will add value by stimulating dialogue among stakeholders in Vietnam’s apparel sector. Broad stakeholder commitment and collaboration resulted in the identification of five areas of improvement. Currently a social impact program in the 1st tier factories focuses on Factories' Productivity & Engagement.|
|Fair Labor Association (FLA) - Sustainable Compliance Initiative (SCI) Deployment||Asia||Feb 2012 - Apr 2013||(-) Managing SCI assessments assigned to the region and assessment onsite (-) Working with external service providers to deploy the assessments (-) Putting the assessment teams together to perform assessments (-) Hiring staffs and external auditors when needed (-) Training on the new audit methodology and perform assessments following the new SCI auditing methodology (-) Assisting Vietnam project FLA 3.0 when requested and as workload warrants, (-) Provide inputs to improve the factory selection process for SCI assessment to ensure its transparency, existing SCI assessment process and systems, SCI tools including the assessment questionnaires, systems on managing and working with External Service Providers to ensure the process and integrity, transparency on the assessment report review.|
|GRI THE GLOBAL ACTION NETWORK FOR TRANSPARENCY IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROGRAM||Asia||Jan 2010 - Dec 2012||The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an international non-profit organization whose vision is to make reporting on economic, environmental, and social performance by all organizations as mainstream as financial reporting. GRI intends to build capacity is through the Global Action Network for Transparency in the Supply Chain (GANTSCh) program. GRI GANTSCh program is to help the SMEs produce their sustainability report. The GANTSCh program was designed to develop capacity building projects that bring transparency and sustainability reporting to groups or clusters of organizations. One of the objectives is to focus on Multinational Enterprises (MNE) by collaborating with MNEs that want to embed sustainable practices & reporting within their supply chains. GANTSCh program allows SMEs to develop sustainability management skills to understand and take ownership of their sustainability impacts by using the G3 sustainability reporting framework. Puma AG has been partnering with GRI to implement GANTSCh program for its suppliers based in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, China, etc.|
